Make Money with DealDotCom

DealDotCom is a Woot! style site for Internet Marketing products. Every day at midnight, one new product is offered for sale at a discount until it’s sold out. The great thing about DealDotCom is that they offer a two-tier affiliate program; 35% commission on the first tier, and 15% on the second tier. DealDotCom describes it like this: “Our affiliate program is 2-tiered, so not only will you get paid for purchases that your friend makes, but you’ll also get paid for purchases that THEIR friends make.” And, there is no time limit; you will earn commissions forever. Nice! By the way, if you’ve got an Internet Marketing product of your own that you’re looking to promote, this is a great way to get some exposure.

Affiliate Radar Webinar

Mark Roth and Raakesh Blokhra will be holding a webinar for Affiliate Radar on Wednesday, July 18th, at 8:30 PM Eastern.  Be sure to check it out, as I believe it will answer a lot questions you may have about Affiliate RadarClick here to sign up for the Webinar.

I failed to mention in my earlier review of Affiliate Radar  that I am a Beta tester for Affiliate Radar.  Unlike other affiliates, I have actually seen and tested the product.  It really is the “Ultimate Affiliate Marketing Tool”, as the Affiliate Radar home page states.  And, their support is excellent (I’ve had the opportunity to speak with Mark Roth over email and phone on a couple occasions).  I plan to have an unofficial Affiliate Radar Video Tour up on my blog sometime tomorrow, hopefully before the Webinar.  Check back here Wednesday evening if you’re interested (Eastern Time).

The 7 Figure Code: Enough with the Bonuses Already

I have received about 10 emails in the last week from JV Partners promoting Mike Filsaime’s The 7 Figure Code.  Everyone seems to be offering a bonus packages supposedly worth thousands of dollars (some even 6 figures).  And some of these JV Partners are offering bonuses that don’t even supplement or enhance The 7 Figure Code - and they’ve actually created products that tell you that you should offer bonuses that add to the product!  Isn’t that a part of Affiliate Marketing Bonus Offers 101???  It’s getting a bit silly, if you ask me.  In fact, Mike Filsaime had to knock some sense into to all JV Partners and sent them an email stressing the importance of promoting the actual product, and not their bonuses.  I could see why they were all acting a little nutty, as the commissions on this product is $225 (If any affiliate gets pissed off at me for revealing this info, you’re kidding yourself - everyone knows this is a high commission product).

Will I be buying The 7 Figure Code?  I haven’t made up my mind yet.  I’m sure it’s a good product, but, if I’m going to spend $497 on a set of 16 DVD’s, I want to make sure I take the time to actually watch all of it.  I am not going to buy it knowing it will collect dust (do you STILL do this?  shame on you!)   If I do buy it, I’ll be sure to purchase it from someone who is offering a relevant bonus and post my review here.  I would buy it through my own affiliate link, but alas, PayDotCom has a system in place that will reject this trick.  Bummer.

Google Slaps Squidoo

It looks like Google’s love affair for Squidoo is over.  Google has apparently severely penalized Squidoo due to excess spam pages.  Squidoo pages have seen a 75% drop in traffic and have been removed from high  rankings, or removed all together (I can a attest to this).  Squidoo has been a favorite of Affiliate Marketers, as they allow affiliate links.  Squidoo is apparently trying to clean up it’s act, but everyone knows once you’ve been “Google Slapped”, it’s over.  No need to panic, Article Marketers, as I’m sure you’re well aware there’s plenty of other options out there with the same or higher Google Page Rank (EzineArticles, HubPages, and GoArticles, to name a few).

ClickBank Introduces Automated Recurring Billing

Read about it:
http://www.clickbank.com/recurring_billing.html

A lot of affiliate marketers are very excited about this new feature (I’ve gotten emails from a couple super affiliates already).  My magic crystal ball tells me we’ll be seeing a lot more affiliate membership sites in the very near future.

ClickBank banning link cloaking?

Andrew Fox posted in his latest new newsletter, “Andrew Fox’ Marketing Rant”, that ClickBank sent him an email stating the they were no longer allow link cloaking.

You can read the story here:
http://www.guruslayer.com/mr.htm

I don’t see this anywhere in their Terms of Service, and have not received any emails from they yet, but I don’t know why Andrew would make this up.

If you don’t know what link cloaking is, affiliates use this technique in order to hide their ugly looking referral links.
You can see an example of link cloaking and how to do it here:
http://www.jamesshuggins.com/h/web1/affiliate_link_cloaker.htm

If link cloaking is being banned by ClickBank, there are other ways around this, such as using HTML or redirect pages instead.
